Office Cleaning in London

We clean London offices of every size, from a single floor to a headquarters building: desks, kitchens, washrooms, meeting rooms and reception, every day, with deep cleans and windows when needed. Co-working, serviced and tenant-managed offices each have their own page below.

What Commercial Office Cleaning Covers

Commercial office cleaning is cleaning done to a written specification under a contract, rather than booked visit by visit. The specification lists every area of the building and what happens there.

Desks, kitchens, washrooms and bins are usually done every working day. Meeting rooms and reception are done daily or more often, depending on how hard they are used. Carpets, hard floors, high-level dust and internal glass usually go on a weekly, monthly or quarterly cycle, and external windows on a schedule of their own. Most London offices are cleaned at the start or end of the day, so the work stays out of working hours; buildings that are busy all day add a daytime cleaner for washrooms and kitchens. The specification also records what changes from one building to the next: floor types, access and keys, alarm codes, where the waste goes and who to call when something is wrong. It is reviewed whenever the way the building is used changes.

Meet Bayleaf Connect

See How Your Office Is Being Cleaned

Most office cleaning happens before you arrive, so you only hear about it when something is missed. On every cleaning contract, Bayleaf Connect shows you each audit of your office: the score for every area, the issues still open and what is being done to close them.

You can check the kitchen was done without walking the floor at 7am.

What a Bayleaf Office Cleaning Contract Includes

The Two Things That Make Office Cleaning Fail

Office cleaning contracts usually fail in two places. The cleaner changes every few weeks, so nobody learns the building. And when something is missed, there is no one person whose job it is to put it right. The list below is built around those two problems.

Office Cleaning for Every Kind of London Office

Who runs the office changes what the cleaning has to do. If you operate a co-working space, members use the kitchens, booths and hot desks at all hours. If you provide serviced offices, offices change hands between clients and reception has to sell the space. If you lease your own floor in a building run by a managing agent, you are the customer but the building sets the rules. Each has its own page, and corporate headquarters and single-company buildings are covered here.

We clean offices in every London borough and out to the M25. Because our window cleaners are our own team, daily cleaning, deep cleans and windows can sit on one contract with one set of people.

How Office Cleaning Is Checked

Who Checks the Work, and How?

An audit is a walk round your office with a checklist built from your specification. Each area is scored, and anything below standard becomes an issue with an action and a date.

Scheduled audits

Audits follow an agreed schedule and score each area against the specification you signed off, and you can ask for one before a board meeting or a client visit.

Fixing what is found

Each failed item is given a person to fix it and a target date, and is closed only once it has been checked again.

Patterns across buildings

Because every office we clean is audited the same way, we can see when a problem appears in several buildings - a product that streaks, a task that is often missed - and retrain the teams before it reaches yours.

Office Cleaning Prices

How Much Does Office Cleaning Cost in London?

An office cleaning price comes from three things: the hours needed to clean your specification, the times of day the work has to happen, and any periodic work such as deep cleans or windows. We walk the building first, write the specification with you and quote against it, so the scope and the price are agreed before anyone starts.

Daily Cleaning

The core of the contract. Desks are cleared and wiped, kitchens and washrooms cleaned and restocked, bins emptied, floors vacuumed or mopped, and touch points such as door handles, lift buttons and kettle handles wiped. Meeting rooms are put back ready for the next day.

Deep Cleaning

The work a daily clean does not reach: carpets extracted, hard floors machine-scrubbed, high-level dust, vents and light fittings, kitchen appliances inside and out, and washrooms descaled. Usually booked over a weekend or a quiet week, and often before or after an office move.

Window Cleaning

Internal glass, partitions and external windows. Our own window team works from the ground with water-fed poles, from a cherry picker, and by rope access on taller buildings.

Common Questions About Office Cleaning

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a standard office clean?

A standard office clean covers desks and workstations, kitchens, washrooms, bins and recycling, floors, meeting rooms and reception. Cleaners also wipe touch points such as door handles, lift buttons and kettle handles. Desks are cleared and wiped, washrooms are cleaned and restocked, and meeting rooms are put back ready for the next day. The daily visit does not include deep cleaning, carpet extraction or window cleaning. Those are booked as separate jobs, usually at a weekend or in a quiet week, and written into the same specification.

Do you supply the cleaning products and equipment?

Yes. Every office cleaning contract includes the products, machines and uniforms, so there is nothing extra to buy or store. Products are agreed surface by surface: stone, timber and polished concrete floors each get one suited to them, and carpets, glass and kitchen worktops are treated the same way. Vacuums and floor machines arrive with the cleaning team. The cleaners work in uniform, which helps in a reception area or managed building where visitors and other tenants pass through.
