Questions we're asked most
Applying
How long does an application take?
Around five minutes for operational roles. You will need your contact details, your work history in outline and the right to work in the UK. You do not need a CV for most site-based roles.
Will I hear back if I am not successful?
Yes. Every applicant receives an outcome. For operational roles we aim to respond within five working days of the closing date.
Can I apply for more than one role?
Yes. Apply for each role separately so the right manager sees your application, or join the Opportunities Pool and we will match you as vacancies open.
Interviews
Who will I meet?
Depending on the role, the site manager, contract manager or the relevant head office lead. Operational interviews are usually held at or near the site you would work on.
What should I bring?
Photo ID and your right to work documents. If we have already verified these digitally, you will be told in advance that you do not need to bring them again.
Right to Work
What documents will I need?
It depends on your circumstances. Your onboarding invitation explains the approved route for you, and where it applies you will be asked for a right to work share code and your date of birth.
How do I complete my Right to Work check?
The evidence needed depends on your circumstances. We will explain the approved route in your onboarding invitation. Where applicable, provide a right to work share code and your date of birth. Our team must complete the required checks before you start, including any role or working-hours restrictions.
Onboarding
When will I receive my contract?
With your onboarding invitation, as soon as your offer is accepted. You sign it digitally, and a copy stays available in your account.
Can I complete onboarding from my phone?
Yes. Onboarding is built for a phone first. You can stop and come back at any point, and your progress is saved.
Who can I contact if I need help?
Your onboarding contact is named in your invitation and reachable throughout. Our People team also answers on careers@bayleaffm.com.
Training
What training will I need to complete?
New starter induction, health and safety basics, and the standards training relevant to your role. These are completed before your first shift and take under two hours in total.
Is training paid?
Required pre-start training is paid. Bayleaf Academy development courses taken later are completed during working time.
